Occupational Therapy

What is Occupational Therapy?
Occupational Therapy (OT) is a profession dedicated to improving people’s abilities to perform daily activities, leisure skills, work tasks, or any functional activity or goal that is important to the person. This is done through the incorporation of functional activities to build activity tolerances.

One area of OT specialization is Hand Therapy (see Hand Therapy section for details); however, other areas of specialization include industrial rehabilitation, injury prevention training, neurologic rehabilitation, and body mechanics training. At NW Sports Physical Therapy there are two occupational Therapists and one Occupational Therapy Assistant on Staff.
